Hitmen murdered a merchant inside his home in Montelíbano

Judicial. In the early hours of this Thursday, December 28, businessman Adanias Arrieta, owner of several night establishments in the municipality, was murdered by hitmen in Montelíbano.

According to the report provided by the authorities, the homicide was committed at approximately 5:30 am inside the victim's home, located in the San José neighborhood.

According to the first indications, Arrieta was in the company of his wife when two hitmen broke into the residence and shot him several times, causing his death.

Although the 46-year-old businessman, still alive, was transferred to a local healthcare center, minutes later he died due to the severity of his injuries, the Police confirmed.

Arrieta was the owner of MarianaMen, the La Factory nightclub and the Tienda San José, so his murder has generated great consternation.

Although the motives for the crime are unknown so far, the authorities do not rule out that it is a possible settling of accounts or some form of revenge, given the profile of the victim.

From now on, the Sijín of the National Police and the CTI of the Prosecutor's Office are carrying out the relevant work and investigations to clarify this reprehensible fact, while the mourners ask for justice and not re-victimization of their loved one.
